El vídeo com a mecanisme de denúncia en el context de l’art

The course is an introduction from a broad perspective to the critical action through video, which is revealed as a denounce mechanism for social transformation, thanks to the viral video and the use of social networks such as YouTube and Vimeo, which have transformed the production and dissemination of the video. Aimed at professionals and students in Human studies forming in the field of arts and thinking, as well as communication, audiovisual production and other areas related to culture and communication.

At the same time there will be a program of films that incorporate and claim the difference, either by exposing a situation or proposing alternative discourses. Proposal addresses issues of individual freedoms and collective rights and issues such as environment, gender equality or political action. Among others, there will be screened works by Abdoul Aziz Cissé (Komian, 2010), Eugènia Balcells (Boy Meets Girl, 1978 and For/Against, 1983), María Cañas (Por un puñado de yuanes, 2008), Jaume Pitarch (Killer, 2004, Rethinking David & Golitah, 2006), Marcelo Expósito (Primero de Mayo (la ciudad-fàbrica), 2004 and El año en que el futuro acabó (comenzó), 2007, Brumaria (Violencias Expandidas / Expanded Violences, 2010), Isabel Rocamora (Body of War, 2010), David Mauas (trailer Quién mató a Walter Benjamin…, 2005; trailer of Goya, el secreto de la sombra, 2011 and teaser of Érase una vez en Jerusalén, ZEMOS98 (Peatón Bonzo, 2003) and Núria Vila (Enemigos, no hay enemigo, 2005).
